OUR PLANE'S STORY
Our Boeing 727-227 took its first flight on May 12, 1970. Registered as N402BN, it flew for Braniff International Airways, followed by Northwest Airlines as N206US. On March 14, 1988, it was delivered to Pan Am as N385PA and flew with the airline until 1991. It remained in boneyard storage, still in its Pan Am colors, until 2023.
“Every country has an airline. The World has Pan Am.” Pan Am distinguished itself as more than just a U.S. carrier; it became a symbol of international air travel, connecting continents and cultures, and earning a reputation as a pioneer and ambassador in the world of aviation.
